We're highlighting the top developments to be on the lookout for in 2022. This article will focus on the most notable builds currently taking place in the DFW rental market.

Addison: Vitruvian West Phase III
Who knew buildings could come in phases? Well- this one can! The Vitruvian West Phase III is another addition to their master community found at Vitruvian Park. The community also includes Phase I and Phase II buildings.
It has a lot to offer with its 5 story wrap building containing a total of 405 units!
The building’s amenities include:
- Rooftop amenity lounge
- Outdoor kitchens
- Communal gathering areas
- A pool
- High-end apartment finishes such as granite countertops, backsplash tile, stainless steel Energy Star appliances
- Seven-story parking garage
Phase III is set to be completed in December of 2022 to stand with its two other sibling buildings.
Denton: Allora Denton
Trammell Crow Residential is bringing affordable housing to Denton with this new build- the Allora Denton! Their plan is to build a 14 building community comprising 3-floor apartments. The entire thing will have a total of 378 units.
This community will be found right near the U.S. Highway 380 in Denton.
The developer also stated that the Allora Denton will have:
- High-quality rental homes
- Large living spaces
- A clubhouse
- A swimming pool
- Fitness Center
- Convenient access to work, transportation, entertainment and schools
Downtown Fort Worth: Landing at 2EightySeven
Landing this apartment would come with tons of perks (excuse the pun)! The Landing at 2EightySeven is a pretty sizable development breaking ground in Downtown Fort Worth.
This community will offer 432 units to rent. They’ll be made up of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartments. The cool part is that it’s also pet-friendly!
Some other features you’ll find are:
- 24-hr Fitness Center
- Package Lockers
- A swimming pool with grilling stations
- Running trails
- 24-hr maintenance service

Far North Dallas: Hazel by the Galleria
The Hazel by the Galleria- a snazzy new apartment community- will be located off the corner of Noel Road and Interstate 635. This 3.5 acre development will boast 6-story buildings comprising 398 units.
That’s not all. The community will offer a whole slew of amenities for their tenants to enjoy. This will include:
- Fitness center with a relaxation lounge and saunas
- An outdoor pool with grilling stations and fire pits
- 3000 sqft. coworking space with private offices, lounges, and a coffee bar
- A package room
- An entertainment lounge with bar areas

You can expect this development to complete in the second quarter of 2023.
Frisco: Jefferson at the Grove
The new apartments at Jefferson at the Grove will feature impressive amenities and luxurious details throughout their community.
Located in East Frisco, this development is coming in the Spring of 2022 and will include 424 apartments.
It’s prime location is close to many nearby job centers, dining and entertainment spots. Additionally, it’s offering tons of amenities.

Grand Prairie: The Foundry
Midtown Grand Prairie is adding this new development to the area in the third quarter of 2023. The Foundry will have 366 units spread over 4 different buildings.
This mixed-use project is being built at S State Highway 161 and Forum Drive and will include more than just homes. They’re adding townhomes, shops, and restaurants too!
The multi-family homes were thoughtfully designed to ensure residents have efficient, but still elegant, apartments!
Kessler/Bishop Arts: The Beckley
This one’s for all our city lovers. The Beckley is right in the heart of Downtown Dallas, sitting near I-30 and directly across from Trinity River.
It consists of a 5-floor wrap style building with 340 units. One of it’s best features is its location. Its proximity to work hubs, retail centers, and entertainment spots is unbeatable!
It will also offer high-end amenities that will include:
- A resort-style pool
- Large outdoor lounge area and outdoor kitchen
- State-of-the-art fitness center
- Rooftop lounge and dog park
- Business center

This building is scheduled to begin leasing in the Summer of 2022, so keep an eye out!
Old East Dallas: The Central
Are you looking for a progressive community to live in? Look no further- the Central awaits you! This 4-acre community will offer residential, experiential, and office spaces.
It’s going to have 705 units, spanning over various 22-story high rises. The coolest part about this development is that it’s its own little space amongst the hustle and bustle of Downtown Dallas.
In the center of the community will lie a park for residents and workers to enjoy. The Central will also offer cutting-edge amenities, innovation, and technology.
West Plano: Thousand Oaks at Stag’s Leap
Get ready for this build, it’s a big one! The Thousand Oaks at Stag’s Leap is a block-style community that will include 11 buildings with 709 units! Yep- you heard that right!
They’re not going for the cookie-cutter look here either. Every building will have its unique style while maintaining cohesive architecture throughout the community.
This development will also include:
- Tennis courts
- A clubhouse
- A dog park
- Swimming pools
- Green trails
- A plaza
Downtown Dallas: One City View
Off Hall and Flora Streets, you’ll find One City View breaking ground. This development is supposed to have 375 units and 779 parking spaces.
Lewisville & Flower Mound: The Point
The Point is being built in the Lewisville & Flower Mound area- on the corner of FM 2499 and Silveron Boulevard. When completed, it’ll have a whopping 585 units!
Medical/Design Districts in Dallas: Dallas Design District
This massive high rise will have 30 stories with a total of 381 units. It’ll be located off of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Hi Line Drive in Dallas.
Trophy Club & Keller: The Brook
This 4-story mid rise development will have 10 buildings with a total of 530 units when completed. You can find it in the Trophy Club and Keller area of Fort Worth on Keller Hicks Road.
