Providing housing options for all is a primary Near Southside goal, and we’re excited about the steady flow of projects delivering units affordable to those working in the district’s healthcare, service, and creative sectors. This month we highlight one of these projects directly aligned with one of our employment anchors. The Magnolia Lofts project (working name subject to change) is located on Magnolia Ave. one block east of S. Main Street, and is a partnership between The NRP Group and JPS Medical Center, delivering:
67 total residential units. 60 units will be for those earning up to 60% of the area median income. 7 units will be market rate or without income restrictions.
Community amenities including a children’s playscape, business center, fitness room, children’s activity room, and community lounge/kitchen. Units equipped with energy-star appliances, granite countertops, modern cabinetry and flooring, spacious balconies, and storage. Approximately 2,000 sf of commercial/retail space leased to JPS for internal or external use.
Construction is expected to kick off 2nd half of 2022.
