Valencia
Valencia is the 3rd largest city in Spain, with a population of over 800,000. It is located on a plain between low mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
The local economy is based around tourism and agriculture. Valencia has been an important port for centuries, and it has always been one of Spain's main trade centers since Roman times. The city has also become famous for its football team, Valencia CF (or "Los Murciélagos" in Spanish). Today there are more than 250 international students at the Polytechnic University of Valencia who come from all over the world!
Attractions include museums like "Museo de Bellas Artes de València" or "Museo Palacio del Rey Moro", which features an Islamic palace dating back to XII century; monuments such as "Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados" Cathedral standing tall on top of hill offering amazing views over downtown area; castles like "Castillo San Miguel", which dates back to XI century but now serves as art gallery displaying works by Picasso among others... You could also visit “Ciudad Vieja” district downtown where narrow streets lead you past traditional shops selling all sorts of items including porcelain plates decorated with traditional designs made here locally at factory called “Caixa Formentera”! This castle served as residence for royal family until 18th century when Philip V ordered construction new palace next door due concerns about safety due frequent earthquakes.
