Orem
Utah Valley University is a 4-year public university located in Orem, Utah. UVU has an enrollment of over 35,000 students and offers more than 100 different programs of study. The most popular majors include Business (19%), Liberal Arts/Humanities (17%), and Health Professions (13%).
UVU has been nationally recognized for its academic quality, ranking highly on lists such as Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck: College Rankings” and U.S News & World Report’s “Best Regional Universities West". In addition to its excellent academics, UVU also offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities for their student body including music ensembles and sports teams.
UVU is home to over 6,000 on-campus residents with student housing being required unless you are married or have dependent children living at home. Most residence halls have air conditioning in summer months although some do not have it available year round due to financial reasons; however they do provide fans when needed!
Orem is a great place to live. Orem itself is known as "the crossroads" because one can go anywhere from here. It is only a short drive away from all of the major attractions in Utah such as Provo Canyon, Salt Lake City and Park City. Not only does UVU have good academics but there are also many things to do on campus such as intramural sports, clubs and organizations; academic programs such as nursing and health professions being some of them.
