Charlottesville
The University of Virginia, commonly known as UVA or simply Virginia, is a public flagship and research university. It was founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson and his colleagues at the central campus in Charlottesville. The best majors at UVA include Engineering, Psychology and Neuroscience.
The school has an incredibly beautiful campus β you can walk from building to building without ever going outside if you wanted to! Student life revolves around sports teams like football (the Cavaliers), basketball (the Wahoos) soccer (the Hoos), baseball and lacrosse just to name a few. There are also tons of student organizations including Greek life if that's what interests you most!
You'll find yourself surrounded by history here; there are monuments everywhere around this college town dedicated to Civil War veterans who fought against slavery during their lives but never got rewarded for their efforts after death until now! If any kind of historical site interests you then visit this place because there's plenty more where those came from!
If you're looking for off campus housing at University Of Virginia, then make sure to check out our UVA housing group on Facebook. Whether it's an apartment or house that you're looking for, there are plenty within walking distance of the school! With no dorms or fraternities or sororities, itβs one of the top universities for off-campus living.
One thing that can be said about living in Charlottesville is how it has a very charming Southern atmosphere that is appealing to many people who visit here. The town itself has plenty of restaurants, shops and bars located right next door or nearby on Main Street which leads straight into downtown Charlottesville where all the action happens!
