The University of Detroit Mercy, known commonly as UDM, is a public university located in the city of Detroit. The school was founded in 1877 and has been named one of "America's Best Colleges" by Forbes magazine since 2006. It has a student population of over 11,000 students enrolled in over 300 academic programs across six colleges: the College of Arts & Sciences; the College of Business Administration; the School for New Learning; and three graduate institutes: The Graduate School at UDM; The Institute for Law & Ethics at UDM; and The Urban Education Institute at UDM.
