Nacogdoches
Stephen F. Austin State University is a large public university located in Nacogdoches, Texas. It is known for its top-notch Criminal Justice program and excellent Biology department, which ranks first in the state of Texas on a national index of best colleges for biology majors.
This school has many departments that offer fantastic undergraduate degrees; however, some of their most popular programs include: Criminal Justice, Biology, English Language & Literature, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Psychology.

The city of Nacogdoches, Texas, is located in the eastern part of the state. It was founded in 1779 and became known as "the oldest town in Texas." The city has a population of just over 100 people, as well as many historic sites including First Baptist Church built back then which houses one of only two surviving copies from 1779.
