Evanston
Northwestern University is a private research university with campuses in Evanston and Chicago. The school, which was founded in 1851, has a reputation for academic rigor and excellence, along with many notable alumni.
Although northwestern university is known for offering a variety of majors and degrees, it has some very specific programs that students should consider if they're interested in studying one subject area. If you're pursuing a bachelor's degree at Northwestern University (or an associate degree from any campus), there are plenty of options to choose from. You can major in anything from English literature to Engineering; however, certain programs stand out as being particularly difficult or prestigious.
Chicago is known for its architecture, Lake Michigan beaches and museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago. Evanston is less than 10 miles from downtown Chicago but still retains a small-town feel thanks to its proximity to forest preserves and scenic lakeshore views. Students typically live on campus at either Northwestern's main Evanston campus or its nearby Chicago campus (which offers grad studies only).
Most students live in apartments near their colleges—this makes sense considering that most universities don't offer dorms anymore! Luckily there are plenty of apartments available near Northwestern’s campuses since both cities have booming rental markets with lots of young professionals who need housing options too! You can find great deals on off-campus housing by searching around these neighborhoods: Evanston Downtown/University Place; North Shore suburbs (Wilmette & Winnetka); Lincoln Square/North Center; Hyde Park/Kenwood.
