Montevideo
Montevideo is the capital city of Uruguay, with a population of just over 1 million people. The city has many famous attractions and is also known for its remarkable architecture.
The popular neighborhoods in which you can find apartments to rent include Cerro de Montevideo, Pocitos and Punta Carretas.
Montevideo’s economy relies heavily on trade, transportation and commerce, manufacturing and tourism sectors but it also has several sights that attract tourists from all around the world including many museums such as Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales or Museo del Gaucho y la Moneda Nacional.
The culture of Montevideo is very diverse as most people who live there have come from other countries like Spain or Italy so they bring their customs with them when they move here which makes for unique traditions such as carnival parades every February where people dress up in costumes made out paper mache called "comparsa", dance groups called "barracas" that perform traditional dances such as tango music while wearing colorful clothes representing their native country's flag colors while others do comedy skits that poke fun at current events happening back home; there are also many festivals held throughout the year including Independence Day celebrations at Plaza del Entrevero on July 18th each year where hundreds of thousands gather together listening live music performances by some famous local artists plus fireworks show afterwards!
