Missouri State University is the largest public university in the state. The school has a strong focus on undergraduate education, with over 70% of students attending MSU as undergrads.

The college offers over 180 majors and minors and claims to be one of the best schools for teaching agriculture (and occasionally veterinary medicine). The campus itself is spread out across 1,000 acres in Springfield, MO—a city known for being home to Dr. Seuss’s birthplace and where Route 66 began! Most undergrads live on campus in one of five residence halls: Colorado Hall (high rise), Honors College Village Apartments (apartments), Hilltop Apartments (apartments), University Suites Terrace Apartments (condos), University Suites Victorian House Apartments (condos). The last two options are considered off-campus housing while Colorado Hall is considered on-campus housing with meal plans available through the university's dining services office.
