Luxembourg
Luxembourg City is a city in the country of Luxembourg. It has over 200,000 people living in it and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The local economy is based on financial services, steel production and manufacturing industries but there are also many things to do when visiting such as going on tours or experiencing nature while hiking through parks like Belval Forest.
The majority of the population speaks French as their first language but you will hear German spoken as well due to its proximity with Germany across the border. Some people also speak Luxembourgish which draws from both languages creating an interesting blend that sounds like German but written similar to French making it difficult for some foreigners to understand!
Luxembourg’s economy relies heavily on banking and financial services. There are many companies based here that have international offices and partnerships throughout Europe, so there are plenty of opportunities for employment even if English isn't your first language
The city has a very rich history that is worth exploring with many museums and historic buildings to see. The Grand Ducal Palace is a must-see attraction as it was built in 1815 and still serves as the official residence for the royal family today. You will also find many old churches around town some dating back over 800 years!
