Emory University is a private, coeducational research university located in metropolitan Atlanta. The school is known for its highly selective admissions, rigorous academics and small campus feel. Its undergraduate program boasts an average SAT score of 1464 and an average ACT score of 33.


The university's academic strengths lie in business, nursing and education, but it also offers programs in fine arts, religion/theology, science and engineering among others.


Emory has more than 30 majors to choose from including liberal arts studies like English or sociology; pre-professional programs such as medicine or law; professional degrees like public health; or interdisciplinary fields such as environmental studies or social work.


There are five colleges at Emory University: Woodruff Health Sciences (medicine); Goizueta Business School; Candler School of Theology (religion); Oxford College (liberal arts studies) ; Rollins School of Public Health(public health). Students can choose from more than 300 student organizations including fraternities/sororities (Panhellenic Council), sports teams (Division I NCAA sports teams) and religious groups to name just a few!


If you're interested in studying psychology, social work, or education, Emory University might be a good place to look into. The school is known for its excellent programs and research opportunities. Students can also take up classes on topics like public health and criminal justice here.


If you're thinking about attending Emory University, keep in mind that most students live on campus during their first two years at the college before moving off campus after graduation. However, if you want to live at home with your family near Atlanta or somewhere else closer than Georgia Tech would be your best option.


The city of Atlanta itself has many things to offer as well as being close by so there's plenty of things for students who aren't looking for dorm life but still want something similar!
