East Stroudsburg
East Stroudsburg University is a public university with an enrollment of almost 14,000 students. Itβs known for its excellent business program, but students can also major in subjects like science and math.
The cost of living on campus will vary depending on the dorm you live in and whether or not you have roommates; however, it is generally cheaper than off-campus housing. Students usually split-rent apartments with fellow classmates or find houses together in the local area surrounding campus.
If you want to live independently outside of campus but still close enough to walk there for class, consider renting an apartment near East Stroudsburg University's city center or other neighborhoods like Houserville (home to many graduates) or Williamsport (about 20 minutes away by car).
Stroudsburg has a large population of students from all over the world, so there are many international restaurants and shops to explore. The downtown area also features a variety of art galleries as well as museums and theaters; itβs definitely worth exploring if you have some free time on your hands.
The campus itself is beautiful and safe, with plenty of trees and flowers. There are also plenty of places to study outside or relax during down time. The campus has a few buildings that are more than 100 years old (including the gymnasium), but most were built in the 1960s and 1970s; however, these newer structures have been renovated and upgraded over the years.
