Chicago
DePaul University is an urban, private university located in Chicago. It's known for its liberal arts curriculum and strong business programs.
Chicago has a population of over 2 million people and is the third most populous city in the United States. It's known for its architecture, food scene, museums and park systems.
Life on campus is typical of most American universities: lots of parties and socializing, but also plenty of studying time. Most students live in the area around the school (which has excellent public transportation), but some choose to live farther away from campus so they can get cheaper rent elsewhere. You'll find a great mix of apartment buildings, houses and other forms of housing throughout Chicago's neighborhoods—and many apartments close by have access to public transportation if you want to avoid paying extra for parking spaces or gas mileage every day!
Students at DePaul enjoy a vibrant campus life with over 150 student organizations and activities, including those devoted to academics, politics, sports and the arts. There are also many opportunities for students to get involved in community service projects through various clubs or volunteer opportunities offered by the university itself.
Most students live in DePaul's residence halls or in apartments near campus. Housing Services provides information and resources to help students find off-campus housing, which can be a challenge in Chicago because of its high cost of living.
