California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Student Housing and Apartments

The California Institute of Technology, commonly known as Caltech, is a private research university located in Pasadena, California. Its degree programs span the sciences, mathematics and engineering with courses that cover topics such as astrophysics, geology and nanotechnology. Additionally, it offers degree programs in the humanities and social sciences.

Caltech is well known for its research and development in the fields of chemistry, biology, astronomy, physics and engineering. In 2018, Caltech was ranked as the 2nd best university in the world by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings.  It is also known for hosting some of the brightest minds in science and technology, such as top researchers from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the California Institute of Technology.

If you are thinking about off campus housing near the California Institute of Technology, there are several neighborhoods to live in that are close by. Depending on how far you would like to be from the school, you can choose between Pasadena, South Pasadena, Altadena and San Marino.

In Pasadena, there are many apartments located downtown off of Colorado Blvd, as well as off of Union Street. The neighborhoods are vibrant and filled with restaurants and shops. South Pasadena is a bit further away from the school, but it's also a great place to live for off campus housing seekers. It has a quaint downtown area, along with plenty of small parks to enjoy.

Altadena and San Marino are located slightly off the beaten path, but still offer plenty of off campus housing options. Both neighborhoods have a suburban feel and are great for those looking for a quiet place to live.
