Burbank
Burbank is a city located within the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County, California. It was founded in 1887 and incorporated as a city in 1908. Its population was estimated at 107,325 inhabitants.
The entertainment industry started to flourish when Walter Lantz built his studio on the outskirts of Burbank in 1917; prompting other animation companies like Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, Marvel Productions, and Pixar Animation Studios to set up shop in the city's outlying neighborhoods. The Walt Disney Company also established their headquarters here when they moved from Hollywood back in 2001 - bringing along thousands of jobs with them!
Other well-known nearby neighborhoods include Toluca Lake (home to many celebrities), Studio City (with its multiple movie theaters), Victory Park (the most expensive area), Hollywood Way/McDonald Avenue (a popular spot for shopping), and Downtown Burbank (which features a variety of restaurants and shops).
Burbank is known for being a family-friendly city. It has many parks and green spaces, including Toluca Lake Park, Victory Park and Burbank Central Park. There are also numerous museums in the area, including Laughlin Park Art Center and The People's Art Gallery of Toluca Lake.
