Birmingham
Birmingham is a city rich with history, culture, and some of the finest dining to be found anywhere. The local economy is driven by healthcare and manufacturing, but there are also thriving arts and entertainment sectors as well. It's a great place to visit if you want an authentic southern experience or if you're looking for something different than big cities like New York or Los Angeles.
Railroad Park is one of the most popular parks in the city and it's full of beautiful gardens that make for a perfect day out with friends or family. You can also find tons of food trucks here where you can grab lunch from local restaurants!
Vulcan Park is another must-see while staying in this area--it has everything from roller coasters to an aquarium that houses over 1 million fish!
What neighborhoods should I consider when looking for apartments in Birmingham? If your budget allows it then consider spending more money on rent so that your apartment will be closer to downtown districts like Five Points South or Avondale where there are lots more bars/restaurants nearby (and less traffic). Some other good areas include Homewood Northside ,Woodlawn Forest Park, Southtown, West End Hoover, Mountain Brook, Alabaster, Tuscaloosa, Montevallo, Gardendale and Trussville.
