Waco
Baylor University is a private institution in Waco, Texas. It was founded in 1845 as the Baylor Female Institute and has grown to become one of the largest Baptist universities in the nation.
The school offers many liberal arts degrees that are unique to its campus. These include the BA or BS degrees in subjects like music, philosophy, English literature and linguistics. Students can also choose from a variety of majors within these broad categories such as cello performance or Christian studies/philosophy with an emphasis on biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek). The city is home to many museums such as the Waco Mammoth National Monument, Dr Pepper Museum, and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum. One can easily spend a day exploring all these attractions when visiting this city! Other activities include visiting downtown for some shopping or enjoying nature at Cameron Park Zoo where there are over 300 species represented.
