Amsterdam
The City of Amsterdam is located in the Netherlands, and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. It is known for its canals, museums, shops and restaurants. As a result of its popularity as a tourist destination, many people live there permanently.
The city has a population of more than 808,000 people. The city itself covers almost 60 square miles or 150 square kilometers making it one of the largest cities in Europe by area size (only Paris and London are larger).
Public transportation includes buses which go everywhere within Amsterdam including suburbs surrounding them like Haarlemmermeer which lies south where housing prices tend towards lower costs than other parts further north towards Schiphol Airport where traffic jams occur frequently due to limited road space near major roads leading into town from highways heading outwards from different directions like Utrecht via A2 motorway (also called N2) towards Zandvoort Beach where Dutch surfers from nearby towns travel frequently during summer months when weather conditions are ideal for surfing off these sandy beaches.
