Oct 27, 2021 - Construction has kicked off on a Grand Prairie real estate project that will bring housing and retail buildings.

Called Midtown GP, the 56-acre development is being built at State Highway 161 and Forum Drive, just north of Interstate 20. Kalterra Capital Partners is building the mixed-use project, which will include townhomes, apartments, shops and restaurants.

The first phase of construction will include a 366-unit rental community called The Foundry. Two four-story buildings and two three-story apartment buildings will be included in the rental community, which will take about two years to complete. (Dallas News)

Nov 5, 2021 - The firm is working with the owners of the property to develop the site. Kalterra managing partner and co-founder Clint Nolen said the project has been in development since 2019.

The firm will develop the project in phases and is currently constructing the Foundry, the multifamily portion of the center. The Foundry is expected to be completed in Q3 2023. (Bizjournals)
